FS5 Touch Hockey

Touch Hockey is one of the best free games for the iPhone. Simple, yet a lot of fun. With its crisp, 2d graphics and realistic sounds, Touch Hockey is a joy to play. You can play in single player mode against a computer or in multiplayer against a friend. You can also play in multiplayer mode over WiFi, with your friend on another iPhone/iPod touch.
You can configure various settings, such as: points needed to win the game (05/07/09/11/), goal sizes, volume, table air volume, replay and lights.
Gameplay is fairly realistic …

Cube

The classic old-school  first person shooter, ported straight from PC. This game has undoubtedly the best graphics I’ve ever seen on the iPhone. It might look obsolete on a PC, but on the iPhone – it rocks.  It has surprisingly large 3d worlds filled with all kinds of monsters. And in multiplayer – your enemies.
Cube is an excellent demonstration of iPhone’s potential as a gaming device.
But there are a lot of issues – most of which can be fixed:
First of all – the controls. They’re way too sensitive. You’ll easily …

DigiDrummer Micro

DigiDrummer by Magnus Larsson is – in my opinion – the best drum app for the iPhone. DigiDrummer Micro is its little brother. There is also a lite version of this app with only 1 drum set.

Micro has DigiDrummer’s great layout, almost zero latency, the ability to record one track and plpay along to to your iPod music.

It features 8 full drum sets.

Waterslide Extreme

Waterslide Extreme is a fun game from Dare Digital Ltd.
You control a character (Male/Female) through a series of waterslides amidst a city center background. The aim is to collect as many diamonds and speed boosts as you can, while making sure you don’t fall of the slide.
In your way are also various obstacles -  such as crabs and ducks -  which slow you down when you hit them. In higher levels, you might also lose a life for going too slow, so watch out!
The controls might take a while to …

Fake Caller

Fake Caller is a great app for getting out of a boring meeting, a bad date or an embarassing situation.
Once activated, Fake Caller will make your iPhone (or iPod touch) look like it’s locked and neutral. When the timer period runs out, it will wake up, play your ringtone and display a really authentic-looking caller screen – you can answer or decline a call. Once answered it switches to a fully functional call screen. You can put the call on hold or mute, you can add fictional calls, browse through …

WritePad

WritePad is a handwriting-recognition app for iPhone and iPod touch. It lets you write notes by drawing out letters and words on your screen and turns them into text.
The problem is that everyone’s handwriting is different and WritePad has a very hard time getting even one sentence right. At least it has a spare, “normal” keyboard for correcting errors. Just touch the button at the top-right corner of the screen. You can also save your WritePad notes, but you can’t open them in iPhone’s Notes or the other way round.
I …

Chase The Dot

A really simple but fun app from Microlemon.

All you have to do is to hit a white dot on your sceen. After every hit, a new dot appears in a random location. The trick is that if you don’t hit the dot fast enough, it moves to a random location itself. You won’t notice it in the easy level, but in hard mode, it makes the game very difficult.
